Waiting Game.

That's what's going on over here lately. Waiting on the Lord to tell us what to do, where to go, how to go. I have a hard time waiting. I am a total waiting failure.

I am a make a list and cross it off kind of girl.

Waiting on job answers, health answers, family relationship answers, baby answers, leaps of faith answers. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Everyone else can't have it all figured out, can they?

So, here we are. Twiddling our fingers, praying, and trying to listen.

Do you know how hard it can be to hear God? I'm waiting God. I'm sure there's something to be learned from all this waitin'. Patience. Trust. Faith. Contentment.

Psalm 130:5-6: “I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning

Psalm 145:15 The eyes of all look to Thee, And Thou dost give them their food in due time

Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.

Psalm 25:4-5
Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

  1. "The pathway is broken, and the signs are unclear. And I don't know the reason why you brought me here..." Ginny Owens always seems to minister to my heart in times of waiting with this song.
