Sleepless in Knoxville.

Man oh man. Babies are tiring exhausting. For the past twelve weeks, I have crashed into bed around midnight after our little night owl decides he's had enough fun for one day and can finally turn in. I read about two lines of a book and I'm out. Before I know it, I hear a little fussing going on and it's morning. "Morning" is a bit of a stretch though, b/c that could mean 4:30, 5:30, or 6:15. I also seem to be honored to share my bed with a man who can sleep through ANYTHING...be it storms, barking dogs, a wife pushing him back over to his side, 2 alarms clocks, or yes, a crying baby.

Granted, he has to get up and go to work, and I can stay in my p.j.s all day if I want...which happens quite frequently lately (don't tell anyone). It's a good thing I have a super adorable child who smiles at me all the time. :)

This devotion was addressed to me this morning. Here I am grumbling about no sleep, when in reality, I am probably getting more sleep than many other mommas with other 12 week old babies. I still need to learn to depend on God for EVERYTHING, even energy.

  1. Jane, I've been looking for a new devotional and I am thrilled you've linked to this one a few times. It is perfect! Have a great day and I hope you get some rest! :)
