Trouble, In-laws, and Painting.

Life is moving along over here folks, and this ole' blog has been a little neglected. If you notice in the pictures above, Eli is quite the helper these days. I left the room and came back to him trying to climb into the dishwasher, the tube of chapstick in his mouth, while he played with a dirty ladle. Gracious.

Matthew and I have been staying up way too late at night for my own good. We have decided to pick out paint colors for every room in the house that we will live with for however long we stay in this house. Do you know how much pressure that is? We have stared at paint swatches and samples on our wall for about two months now, and let me tell you, paint never seems to look the same on your walls as it does when the swatch is on your walls. Tricky tricky. Once we settled on some paint colors, we got our behinds into gear. Every night this past week, we've painted. We painted during nap times, and after Eli went to bed. We crashed into our beds around 1:30 every morning, and did it all over again the next day. We still have more to go, but are taking a little break before our feet fall off. I'm officially feel old.

I took some pics, and will show them to you all, but that's for another post. Today, my in-laws are coming to town for a few days, and I am going to run around like a nut trying to take care of birthday stuff, doctor appts., shoe shopping for our little frankenstein walker, etc. while they're here. So, I just wanted to stop in while the wild man was napping, and before they  got here, and now I hear some babbling and we're off to the grocery!

By the way, 78 degrees today? Yes, please!

  1. What a fun stage for you and Matt! Have a great party with the in-laws. I can't wait to see your pictures of the painted walls.
